Dear Members & Supporters,

Hi Everyone
Well it’s been a couple of months since I updated my message, time is going so fast – we are almost half way through 2010 already! It’s been an interesting couple of months in Bangkok to say the least but I am pleased that life is getting back to normal (if that is possible)!

Back in April we celebrated St George’s Day at the British Club Birthday Party and I was pleasantly surprised how many people turned up despite Silom looking like a war zone! Thanks to Becky (our webmaster) for organising the St George’s Treasure Hunt and to Simon, Mark and Gale, our Councillors who all helped out on the (very hot) day.

Much of May was a right-off for many people; I for one didn’t leave my apartment very much, especially at night for fear of being shot at!  But do not fear as June is here and there is a lot to look forward to!

The World Cup has arrived and all hopes are yet again on the England team to bring the trophy home….well you never know!!

Wimbledon starts on 21st June for 2 weeks! Pimms, Lemonade, Champers, Strawberries and Andy Murray!

July kicks off with a bang with the eagerly anticipated Art Exhibition by my step-brother Simon Bradwell on the 1st July at Moddy’s Restaurant and Gallery in Aree. The Exhibition of abstract art is also going to benefit SCAD (Soi Cat And Dog www.scadbangkok.org), which many of you know is close to my heart!

I know many of our members will be travelling back to UK or elsewhere for July and August so the Society will not be holding any events during this time (although if England reach the World Cup Final that could change!!). However, expect a quiz in September and of course our 49th Anniversary Ball at the Landmark Hotel on Saturday 23rd October.

The last weekend in October will be the Inter Society Golf Competition – please contact our Golf Convenor if you would like to play! See our Social and Sporting Events page for more details on all our forthcoming events.
