The Thailand Hill Tribes Education Project

The Thailand Hill Tribes Education Project
is presently embarking upon a project to construct a classroom/general
purpose room at the primary school in Ban Huay Plakang,
Mae Sariang District, Chiang Mai Province. Since there
is no electricity in the entire village, a generator will
also be provided which will be shared with the whole community. |
The Ban Huay School has a new headmaster, Khun Apichart.
Recently transferred from a primary school in Ban Khun Wan
Nua, Khun Apichart brings with him a track-record of achieving
great improvements to the quality of education in that village.
The successful implementation of this project will give Khun
Apichart a flying start to the achievement of even more successes
at the Ban Huay School. In the 2001/2002 year, The Bangkok
St. George's Society donation of Baht 96,000 was used to part
finance this very worthwhile project.
Further donations are needed as there is so much that can
be done in the community! |
