The Karen Hilltribes Trust (UK) Founded by Penelope Worsley in 1996 and the Foundation for Karen Hilltribes in Thailand
are working with the Karen people of north-west Thailand to improve health, provide education and create a sustainable living.
Penelope's Journey
Their aim is to support the Karen people in
sustaining their traditional lives in the mountainous forests
of Thailand. The Trust works with them to help them meet the
challenges of their daily lives.
The Trust provides help - both financial and
physical - to install clean water systems, thereby improving
health, supports projects that provide education opportunities
for Karen children, and also supports the Karen people in
developing sustainable sources of income.

fine work being undertaken in north-western Thailand amongst
